Bahrain National Day: NIS celebrates with zest and fervour

The New Indian School, Bahrain celebrated the 46th Bahrain National Day at its campus with great zest and fervour. 

The celebration began with the unfurling of the National flag of Bahrain accompanied by the school band. 

Special assemblies were conducted, featuring a wide range of programmes that included Quran recitation, patriotic song specially composed for the occasion by the Vice Principal, Dr. George Mathew, speeches highlighting the significance of the day, action song by the kindergarten section and traditional dances and performances exhibiting the spirit of Bahrain. 

The kindergarten and the primary section students lined up to form NIS with a heart symbol exhibiting their love for the nation.

Director, Dr. V. Gopalan in his address praised the country for its benevolence and reminded everyone of the duty to contribute to the development of the kingdom.

T. T. Thomas, chairman of the school blessed all the members of the staff and the students and extended his greetings. Principal, Gopinanth Menon also extended his best wishes and reiterated that every resident of Bahrain has a bounded duty towards the betterment of the nation.

Students also engaged in decorating their classrooms to suit the occasion. Decked up in red and white, the entire school was buzzing with national pride and patriotic fervour.
