Fireworks light up capital

ManamaA perfect blend of awe-inspiring fireworks and rhythmic music transformed festivities in the Capital Governorate to an enchanting experience for thousands who thronged the Water Garden City project for National Day celebrations.

Live performances by the Interior Ministry music team, as well as operettas by Mohamed Abdel Rahim, Mohamed El Tamimi and Hanan Reda, offered the crowd one of the most unforgettable experiences of the National Day festivities.  

“The wide participation is a clear indication of their love and loyalty to this country,” Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, the Governor of the Capital Governorate, Chairman of the Higher Committee for the celebration told DT News.

He added “This also tells the story of cohesion and unique glory of the loyal people and leadership that establishes the titles of allegiance and creates a bright future.”

The festivities at the Water Garden City Project also offered huge surprises to the participants in the form of several gifts, which included an MG360 car from Zayani Investments.

Tamkeen’s market for entrepreneurs and games village for children turned out to be an instant hit among revellers at the event organised with the support of 30 government and private entities.

Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Director General of Amman Municipality, Deputy Chairman of the Higher Committee for the celebration, said the huge turnout is “an affirmation of loyalty to our wise leadership and our belonging to our homeland.”

Commenting on the success, Mohammad Ali Al Khozai, Chairman of the Capital Municipal Council, told DT News that the capital had been working for the past three months to ensure its success. “We are glad to see the huge turnout for this event.”

“I would like to thank all the organisations for their coordination and efforts to ensure security, smooth traffic flow and management of the stalls,” he added.
