Minister honours workers of GPIC
Manama : The Labour and Social Development Ministry organised a ceremony to honour distinguished workers of the private sector on Wednesday.
The event, under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad, was attended, among others, by Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel Humaidan.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the annual ceremony recognises the Bahraini workforce in carrying out their duties with professionalism, sincerity and excellence.
Among those honoured was Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) Safety, Security, Health and Environment Manager Jassim Darwish, who received the accolade for his outstanding performance.
Senior analyst in the Technical Services Department Khalid Janahi was also recognized for having proven his ability to successfully carry out his responsibilities.
In a statement, GPIC President Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery thanked and appreciated the Minister for his efforts in organisning the ceremony and said it is recognition of the important role of private sector workers in nation building.
