BIS celebrates Bahrain National Week

Manama : As part of the National Day celebrations Bahrain Indian School (BIS) conducted a multitude of activities encapsulating the history and culture of the Kingdom. 

The activities were conducted from December 10 to 14, which further provided the platform for celebrating Bahrain National Week in an innovative and educative way.  

“Bahrain is the land of rich traditions, strong cultural values and modernity. We wish to extend our heartfelt congratulations to the wise leadership, the government and to the people of the Kingdom of Bahrain. We express our best wishes and desire further advancement and prosperity under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa,” school officials said.

The activities ranged from talks on Kingdom of Bahrain, Quiz competition, elocution, special assembly and various   fun activities.  

Bahrain’s History and culture was discussed in all the classes through a PowerPoint presentation   followed by an interactive inter- house quiz competition for Grades III to V students. The quiz had various interesting rounds and students participated enthusiastically.

Inter- house English Elocution competition was held herein students of Grade VI-VIII presented their thoughts on “Importance of Bahrain in the present Arab world”.  

December 14 was celebrated as Glad Rags day wherein students and teachers came dressed in beautiful attires of red and white colour. 

A special assembly was conducted celebrating Bahrain National Day. It was a spectacular presentation by students who worked under the guidance of Mehvish. The assembly highlighted the culture, famous cuisines, eatables and clothing. Students were dressed in the traditional attire and danced to the tunes which further added the glee to the occasion. Various classroom activities and outdoor activities for all the grades were organized by the teachers.
