Shura Council celebrates National Day, Accession Day

ManamaThe Shura Council celebrated the glorious National Day and the anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s Accession to the Throne yesterday. The Council extended greetings to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier as well as the Bahraini people on the occasion.

The council expressed deep pride in the prestigious status reached by the Kingdom, and the multiple national gains attained thanks to the leadership of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the government, led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, as well as the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.

Shura Council Chairman, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, and members extended greetings to the leadership on the occasions.

Al-Saleh stressed that marking national days will motivate everyone to attain more achievements and gains that raise the Kingdom’s standing and ensure all means of sustainable development and decent living for the citizens. 

He voiced pride in the interest of the leadership and the government in development programmes and strategies in all sectors, lauding the Bahraini people’s rallying behind the leadership and keenness on joining ranks to preserve the kingdom’s security, stability and capabilities, as well as to bringing about more local, regional and international achievements.

The council commended the royal reform project which enabled Bahrain to make big strides in terms of best democratic practices and promote the state of institutions and law which is based on the principle of separation between powers, guaranteeing political and civil rights for all citizens and fostering co-existence and peace to achieve sustainable development.

The Shura Council paid tribute to the loyal Bahraini people for their enduring efforts to bring about national achievements and uphold Bahrain’s name in Arab and international gatherings by confirming the kingdom’s pioneering status in the literary, cultural, economic, political and social fields. It also affirmed support to legislation aimed at bolstering patriotism and belonging to the nation so as to achieve the aspirations of the leadership and people.
