Angels Toastmasters host confluence 2017

Manama “If you want something said, ask a man. If you want something done, ask a woman.” Margaret Thatcher said these words before she even became the First Woman Prime Minister of England. And it’s indeed true where Angels Toastmasters Club members are concerned as they bring together the event of the year-” Confluence 2017- A Convergence of World Class Speakers” on 26 December 2017 at Crowne Plaza Hotel from 6pm onwards.

Angels Toastmasters, the only multinational ladies Toastmasters Club in Bahrain was founded in 2005 by DTM Rosaline Roy Charlie, the Chairperson of Confluence and mentor of the club.

“My vision while founding the club was to give the many introvert ladies on the island the chance to express themselves by learning the art of communication and leadership through Toastmasters International,” says Rosaline.

“And the icing on the cake is our keynote speaker, Sarah Khan, double DTM, former fashion designer, an activist and a TedX Speaker who has also been featured in the Forbes Magazine,” informs Rosaline.

She is assisted in chairing this event by Dr Thuraya Juma, a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Bahrain and another influential Toastmaster on the island. “The ladies in our club are multitalented, inspiring women who are teachers, professionals and homemakers. This is the first time that Angels Toastmasters is hosting an event of this magnitude and I’m sure it will be a great exposure and learning platform for our club members. It’s going to be a wonderful opportunity for Toastmasters and non Toastmasters alike to meet and witness such enthralling speakers like Sarah Khan and James Jeffley, who, apparently are coming to Bahrain for the very first time! The other Toastmasters on the island are also very helpful and  supportive and everyone is looking forward to Confluence 2017! ,” adds Rosaline.
