30 vie for Bahrain’s top award

Manama : The third edition of the Bahrain Award for Entrepreneurship will be held today under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Chairman of the Economic Development Board. 

The ceremony is positioned as a platform to honour and celebrate the achievements and efforts of entrepreneurs in Bahrain. A total of seven winners will be announced. They are vying for the title and a total of BD150,000 in cash prizes, other key rewards and benefits. The third edition of the award aims to celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit and stimulate innovation to achieve economic development within the framework of the Economic Vision 2030. 

So far, the award has honoured 14 outstanding business leaders during the first two editions. The award aims to create and encourage the entrepreneurial culture in the Kingdom by organising workshops. 

The Bahrain Award for Entrepreneurship is organised by Tamkeen in association with its’ strategic partners including the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism, Economic Development Board, the Bahrain Development Bank, the Bahrain Chamber of Industry and Commerce, as well as its’ knowledge advisors, the Arab International Centre for Entrepreneurship and Investment – Office of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) for Investment and Technology in Bahrain, and EY Bahrain.
