General goal of major country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics in new era

General Secretary Xi Jinping’s report on the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China made a top-level design for China’s diplomacy in the new era and made clear the goal we strive for. The report stressed that the CPC strives for both the wellbeing of the Chinese people and human progress. To make new and greater contributions for mankind is our Party’s abiding mission, which highlights Chinese Communists’ historical consciousness, international vision and care for the world, as well as shows that the CPC has tightly connected the happiness of the Chinese people with that of the people across the world and fully realized it should possess the spirit of internationalism from the beginning of its founding. Based on the excellent cultural traditions that the Chinese nation advocates Datong world and all human beings belong to a big family, a world like that aims to solve various global challenges facing the planet. 

The above-mentioned goal proposed by General Secretary Xi Jinping transcends the similarities and differences between countries, parties and systems, reflects the universal expectation of most countries and conforms to the common interests of the international community. The goal makes China’s foreign policy and philosophy occupy the commanding height of human morality, and shows that Chinese Communists are able to and willing to make contributions to solving problems facing mankind. And it will be widely welcomed and supported by the international community.

The construction of a new type of international relations, and the building of a community with a shared future for mankind make it necessary for China to make practical efforts and set an example, as well as unswervingly pursue a road to a great nation which is different from that of traditional powers. This is not only the historical duty that China, as a big socialist country, should undertake for the development of human society, but also the historical mission that the Chinese Communists should advance for the progress of human political civilization. The important statements about diplomacy in the report of the 19th CPC National Congress will play a significant guiding role in China’s diplomacy in the new era. The diplomatic policy stated in the report will put up a new banner, stimulate great deeds and blaze new trails for the major country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics in the new era. 

We must be more closely united around the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core, earnestly enhance the awareness of maintaining political integrity, thinking in terms of the big picture, following the leadership core, and keeping in alignment with the central Party leadership, firmly establish the confidence in the path, theory, system, and culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics, undertake the glorious duty of China’s diplomacy in the new era with a high degree of political responsibility and a tenacious sense of historical mission, and constantly open up new situations for the major country diplomacy with Chinese characteristics while advancing with the times and holding pioneering spirit.
