Raid on Shaikh Sultan bin Suhaim denounced
Manama : Manama Center for Human Rights condemned the Qatari security authorities’ raid on the residence of Shaikh Sultan bin Suhaim Al-Thani and freezing assets of Shaikh Abdullah bin Ali Al-Thani.
The Manama Center for Human Rights called on Doha to respect principles of human rights, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and all other pertinent international human rights charters and declarations.
It asserted that Qatar’s recurrent violations of Qatari nonviolent opposition and human rights defenders by withdrawing nationalities and unlawfully freezing funds is a systematic violation of freedom of opinion and expression and the right to political participation.
