Women’s Festival for National Day
Seef : A women’s festival marking the National Day celebrations has been scheduled for December 15, the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) – the event organisers announced yesterday.
The festival will include 10 sports activities including volleyball, 3x3 basketball, football, handball, table tennis, athletics, judo, taekwondo, karate and jiu jitsu.
These events will take place at three different sports halls – Bahrain Table Tennis Federation, Bahrain Volleyball Association and Bahrain Sports for Disabilities Federation halls, all of which are located at Isa Town Sports City in Riffa.
These activities are planned to commence at 9am and will run until 8pm. The programme was discussed by a purpose-formed committee, who had its first meeting at the committee premises in Seef.
BOC Sports Federation Director Hisham Al Blooshi, Projects Manager Lounes Madene and other committee members and the involved sports federations members were present at the meeting.
The meeting started with Madene briefing the attendance on the National Day Festival programme, and proposed that each federation is responsible to its respective activities.
