Greenkeepers get revenge
Manama : A busy Friday at the Royal Golf Club (RGC) kicked off with the annual Greenkeepers Revenge event which gives the agronomy team the opportunity to set up the course in any which way they like, giving them the chance to get ‘revenge’ on the members of the Royal Golf Club.
Some of the most notable set up holes included hole 9, where the flag was in the bunker and hole 11 where the flag was surrounded by several other holes.
Barry Hobday, Ronan Armstrong, Andrew Love and Todd Gilespie shot an amazing score of nett 54.9 to lift the trophy. Hilde and Stan Kwik and Ann and Kevin Hudon (57.7) came in second place.
Director of Agronomy, William Evans was on hand to give out prizes, which included two rakes, some paint and a drop zone sign.
