ISB youth festival ‘Tarang 2017’ grand finale tomorrow
Manama : On the fourth day of the Indian School Bahrain (ISB) Youth Festival Tarang 2017, participants in folkdance and cinematic dance regaled the packed audience in the Jashanmal auditorium in Isa Town.
The first prize in Folk Dance -A Level was won by CV Raman House. Vikram Sarabhai House and Aryabhata House won the second and third prizes respectively.
In Folk Dance -B Level, the first prize was won by CV Raman House. Both second and third prizes were won by JC Bose teams.
In Arabic Dance –C Level the first prize was won by Aryabhata House while both the second and third prizes were bagged by Vikram Sarabhai teams.
Aryabhata House is still dominating the annual Inter-house talent show with 854 points on the fourth day. JC Bose House is on the second place with 811 points. On the third place is Vikram Sarabhai House which has got 795 points while CV Raman House is on fourth place with 783 points.
The Youth Festival will continue today with the following events: Short Play (English), Bharatanatyam, Speech (Hindi), Speech (English), Instrumental Music, Hindustani Music (Boys), Hindustani Music (Girls), Western Dance, Group Song. Prizes for the group events will be distributed immediately after the declaration of results.
The Tarang 2017 is the biggest School Youth Festival in the Gulf countries, with the participation of over 3000 students in 126 events. The participants scoring maximum points in stage and non-stage events will be awarded the prestigious Kalashri and Kalathilakam awards at the Grand Finale, which will be held tomorrow. The students from age group 6 to 17 are grouped in levels A, B, C and D.
