Ras Rumman thrash Halat Al Naeem 9-0
Manama : Ras Rumman Youth Centre thrashed Halat Al Naeem Youth Centre 9-0 in its final Group 3 match of the Fifth Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League for Youth Centres, People with Disabilities and Girls (Khalid 5) at the Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town.
Man of the match Qassim Hussain with a first half hat-trick set up the victory for his team as Halat Al Naeem were disadvantaged in the 29th minute when Mohammed Abdulaziz was red carded.
In Group 4 action, Karranah defeated Al Wusta 3-1 with Mahmood Mansour man of the match for the victors, Jidhafs and Jurdab played out a thrilling 3-3 draw with the man of the match being Ali Yaqoub for the latter, Al Dair Club were comfortable 6-2 winners over Sadad, with Mohammed Al Hayki of Al Dair adjudged as man of the match.
The final five matches of the preliminary stages are set to be played today from 5pm.
Meanwhile, the organising committee held a workshop for the teams that are participating in the disabled competition. Eight teams and 16 technical crew members attended the workshop which focused on raising awareness on the technical and administrative sides of the league.
Ali Al-Nabhan, Director of the League said the basic rules of the league were explained to the teams and the technical crews during the workshop, adding eight teams of people with disabilities and divided into two groups of four teams, with matches beginning tomorrow.
