Bahrain welcomes border opening
Manama : Slamming the Qatari authorities for politicising Hajj, Bahrain Foreign Affairs Minister, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, yesterday hailed the “exceptional facilities” provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Qatari pilgrims.
Terming move as a “great historical responsibility”, the minister said that the effort is “challenged only by deniers”.
On his official Twitter page, the Minister reminded the Qatari authorities that such facilities granted by Saudi Arabia to the Qatari pilgrims are “not obtained by any other Islamic country before.”
The Minister also condemned Qatari authorities and the media for raising baseless allegation that Saudi is denying their right to perform Hajj.
“This is a great historical responsibility,” the minister said praising the Saudi Royal directives to facilitate the entry and stay of Qatari pilgrims during Hajj.
