Inquiry launched into finance scam
Manama : Citizens in Bahrain are being warned to be cautious against ‘fraudsters’ following a string of complaints filed against a man suspected of conning several people of their money.
The suspect, according to the General Director of Anti-corruption and Economic and Electronic Security, cheated several citizens by convincing them to invest their savings. The suspect, however, failed to secure necessary licences.
The Directorate took legal actions in cooperation with the Public Prosecution against the suspect, who is still outside Bahrain.
The General Director called upon the public to ensure all legal measures before entering business projects.
