Bahrain to face Algeria

Manama : Bahrain under coach Ebrahim Ali take on Algeria in the semi-finals of the 21st - 24th classification placement matches this morning in the 2017 Men’s Youth World Handball Championships at the Tbilisi Sports Palace in the capital of Georgia.

Bahrain finished bottom of Group A with one win against Denmark and four losses to defending champions France, Egypt, Sweden and Norway.

The Algerians in Group 2, also finished bottom of the group with a single win and four losses.

In the other semi-final, Argentina bottom of Group 3 losing all five group matches takes on Mexico from Group 4 who had an identical
record.

A total of 24 countries in four groups of six were in the fray playing round-robin matches, with the top four teams advancing to the main round of 16 with the championship concluding next Sunday.

Schedule: 17th - 20th Norway vs Georgia, Brazil vs Georgia. 

Round of 16: Iceland vs Sweden, Slovenia vs Croatia, Japan vs Egypt, Spain vs Poland, France vs Chile, Portugal vs Tunisia, Denmark vs Germany, South Korea vs Russia.
