Al Buhair defeat Safra Youth 5-4
Manama : Al Buhair Youth Centre narrowly defeated the reigning champions Safra Youth Centre 5-4 in the latest matches of Group 1 of the Fifth Khalid bin Hamad Futsal League for Youth Centres, People with Disabilities and Girls (Khalid 5) at the Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town
After the match, organisers selected Al Buhair’s Ahmed Al Khayat as the man of the match.
In the second Group 1 match, Muharraq Youth Centre easily defeated Karzakkan 4-1 to guarantee qualifying for the knockout round with Muharraq’s Mohammed Abdul Aziz man of the match.
Abu Saiba edged out Buri Club 3-2 in another Group 1 match with Sayed Hassan for the victors being the man of the match.
Group 2 action saw Hoora and Gudaibiya defeat Dumistan 5-2 with Sameer Basheer the man of the match.
Despite their team’s loss, Dumistan fans lifted a banner in memory of the late Kuwaiti actor Abdul-Hussain Abdul-Redha who passed away in London a few days back.
This tournament is being played under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and Honorary President of Bahrain Sports Federation for Disabilities and organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs and the Media Office of Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, under the slogan #Generations_Meeting.
It started on July 24 and continues until September 14 and features 59 teams, divided into 36 youth centres teams, 9 unregistered clubs, 8 teams of people with disabilities institutions and 6 girls teams.
