Khalid bin Hamad Theatre Festival workshop today
Manama : The organising committee of the Khalid bin Hamad Youth Theater Award Festival will hold an introductory workshop today, Jamal Al Ghailan, the Director of the event, has said. Al Ghailan explained that the workshop, titled “Do We Need Theatres?”, will be held at the family of writers and authors headquarters in Zinj and will be addressed by Dr. Rashid Najim and Safa Al Alawi.
Al Ghailan announced that more such workshops will be held between August 20 and August 30, calling upon the participants in the festival to attend and benefit from the topics discussed in the workshops. He said preparations are in full swing for the third edition of the festival for national clubs, youth centers and people with disabilities.
Being organised for the third consecutive year under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association and Honourary President of the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation and within the initiatives of His Highness, the festival will be held at the Muharraq Model Youth Centre in October, with large and active youth participation from national clubs, youth centers and people with disabilities.
The organising committee had announced earlier that this year’s edition will be held under the slogan ‘Let’s Plant A Smile’ and will introduce several workshops and additional activities.
