Ahmed Janahi defeats Salman Hassan in semis
Manama : Defending champion Ahmed Janahi defeated Pakistani Salman Hassan in straight sets 6-1, 6-2 in the semi-finals of the Bahrain Tennis Club (BTC) Members Tournament at its premises in Juffair.
Ahmed Janahi will now take on Abdul Rahman Janahi who won the second semi-final in straight sets by 6-2, 6-1 against Indian Nalan Tenshobaka, with the two winners facing off in today’s final at 6.30pm.
These tournament’s over the next two months will give players in effect ranking/classification points for future competition.
Khalid Nass, Chairman of the Organising Committee expressed his happiness with the success of the competition which began on Sunday and concludes this evening. He also confirmed that a number of youth tournament’s set for next month have been postponed due to the school holidays, as many are outside the country.
