Shura Council condemns closure of Al Aqsa Mosque
Manama : The Shura Council strongly condemned Israel’s closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque, the desecration of the holy sites and the killing of Palestinians.
It voiced deep concerns over the blatant Israeli violations at Al-Aqsa Mosque and continuous assaults on the Palestinian people.
In a statement issued yesterday, the Council denounced the Israeli provocative encroachments on the Al-Aqsa mosque, in breach of international covenants that guarantee the right to perform religious rituals.
The Shura Council urged Arab and Islamic states and governments to assume their responsibilities to defend Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque and confront the Israeli policy of Judaisation of Jerusalem.
It called upon the Palestinian people to join ranks and consolidate national unity so as to confront the continuous Israeli crimes.
The Shura Council appealed to the United Nations, the UN International Security Council and organisations to assume their responsibilities and halt the brutal Israeli assaults.
