BD1,000 insurance for operating travel agencies
Manama : A new fee of BD1,000 to issue or renew permits to operate travel agencies has been introduced.
According to the resolution issued by Transportation and Telecommunications Minister Kamal Ahmed, it is mandatory to pay BD1,000 to issue or renew permits of travel agencies as an insurance. The resolution was published in the Gazette on Thursday, although it was issued on July 12, and it comes into effect today as per the minister’s instructions.
As per the resolution, the amounts will have to be paid to the Civil Aviation Affairs in the Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry. Any violations committed by the agencies will be deducted from the insurance amount.
