Man in the dock for drug peddling
Manama : An Asian man was arrested recently for selling marijuana worth BD4,000. The 30-year-old sold 2kg of marijuana to an undercover police officer in Juffair in May.
The man stood trial before the Higher Criminal Court recently and the judge adjourned the case to August 20. Court files showed that the undercover lieutenant had agreed with the man to meet in Juffair on July 7. The suspect was arrested the moment he gave the cop the marijuana in two big bags. He denied the charges during the interrogation. Anyhow, the prosecutors accused him of illegally possessing and selling narcotics.
