Ministry revokes teaching permit of private school
Manama : A private school in Bahrain got its teaching permit revoked by Education Ministry yesterday for continuing to violate the laws and regulations, and disregarding the ministry’s repeated warnings.
The ministry announced in a statement issued here yesterday that Education Minister Dr. Majid Al Nuaimi took the decision to cancel the permit of Sanabil Private School after postponing it in 2013 for two years so the school is allowed the time needed to rectify its situations.
“The school was given a two-year time limit to build new facilities that are consistent with the required standards of school buildings. Despite being notified by the ministry about the expiration of its permit in February, 2015, the school didn’t respond.
The permit has been withdrawn in accordance with Article 28 of Law Decree 25 of 1998 with regards to private educational and vocational institutions,” the ministry’s statement read.
