Man arrested for mosque robbery
Manama : Police yesterday arrested a man involved in a robbery in a couple of mosques in Budaiya town in the Northern Governorate.Northern Governorate Police General Director Colonel Abdulla Al Jairan confirmed in a statement here yesterday that the man was suspected of stealing money and valuable items from two mosques in Budaiya. Col. Al Jairan said that investigations were launched shortly after the first case was reported, in which the police discovered that the suspect was involved in another mosque robbery. “The robbed items included money and a computer. Legal proceedings are being taken to refer the case to Public Prosecution,” the official said.
