Prime Minister pledges more support for sports
Manama : His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa yesterday praised the role of sports clubs in boosting Bahrain’s image at the regional and international level.
HRH the Premier was speaking as he received at Gudaibiya Palace President of Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA) Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, in the presence of Minister of Youth and Sports Affairs Hesham bin Mohammed Al Jowder.
Shaikh Isa introduced to HRH the Prime Minister BBA board members as well as Board Chairman and members and players of Muharraq Club who won the Khalifa bin Salman Basketball Cup 2017. He also introduced to HRH the Prime Minister the Board Chairman and members and players of Manama Club who won 2017 Basketball Championship.
Lauding the role of the youth, Prince Khalifa pledged to provide more support to the sector and hailed the efforts of BBA President in developing basketball in Bahrain.
Shaikh Isa thanked HRH the Premier for his support to Bahrain’s athletes, describing HRH the Prime Minister’s directives as a roadmap to maintain achievements.
