Bahraini author Mohamad Isa says he expected bestseller status

Manama : Bahraini author Mohamad Isa, who  co-othered a book with world-renowned author Brian Tracy, is not surprised that the book became an Amazon bestseller.

Last year, Isa was selected to be one of the writers to team up with world-renowned motivational speaker and author Brian Tracy. Soon after its release, the book reached bestseller status in two categories and currently the book is the bestseller in three categories. 

Along with Tracy and Isa, a group of experts from around the world were selected as the writers. 

Apart from being a writer, Isa is also an accomplished public speaker.  Isa has been involved in public speaking since his university days, he also has more than fifteen years of experience in coaching clients. He has spoken at various high level conferences in the Gulf, UK, USA, and Germany sharing the stage with some of the top speakers in the world, such as Tom Peters, Tony Buzan, Shep Hyken, John Gray, and Doug Lipp.

Isa’s contribution for the book was a section about public speaking. “Express. Do not try to impress! Expand your vocabulary to engage your audience. If you do not have a story, you do not have a speech! Humour connects humanity.  Use it whenever possible. Do not just throw ideas, illustrate them creatively. Analyse your audience and make your speech interesting to them,” he wrote in his section of the book. 

“Public speaking is a skill that helps you on your way to success no matter what career path you have chosen. You can be a banker or a doctor or a businessman but if you cannot communicate your ideas it is a problem,” he told DT News. 

Speaking about the book becoming a bestseller, he said “I am not surprised when it became a bestseller, we were expecting it to be honest. We had a team of well known authors as well as a good marketing campaign in place. The campaign was global because the writers were from all over the world.”

“I am happy about the book becoming a bestseller. Personally what I am more excited about is having landed a book deal with Brian Tracy. People are still amazed that I co-authored a book with Brian Tracy. When they see the book at shopping malls or book shops, they call me to ask about how I managed to write it.” he said. 

“I have another book set to be published in December, it will be my fifth book to be published. It is a book about customer service failures in banks that I have witnessed myself. I have 13 other books that planning to publish; I don’t see myself discontinuing writing,” he said. 

Advising youth authors he said, “Writing a book is a not as difficult as many think of it. It is not necessary to find a publisher, you can make it an eBook and easily publish it on the internet. Writing a book does not need to be time consuming. I wrote my fifth book in six days, from conception to execution. On average I spend two to three hours a day writing.”
