Batelco Gunners trash Al Ahlam

Manama : Batelco Gunners United thrashed Al Ahlam 5-0 in the third round of Group Two of the Nasser 10 Football Tournament, held at Khalifa Sports City Football Stadium in Isa Town.

Scoring for the winners were Ali Nasser (13th minute), Hassan Redha (18th), Diego (23rd and 43rd) and Omar Al Maliki (53rd minute). Team captain Shaikh Khalid bin Salman Al Khalifa won the player of the match award for his contributions during the game.

Meanwhile, HH  Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC), directed for the support of T.V programme "Al Bank" with prizes from the Third Nasser bin Hamad Sports Games "Nasser 10". The programme is being aired on Bahrain TV channel during the holy month of Ramadan. Shaikh Nasser's initiative comes as part of his vision to expand it into a comprehensive national project and not just focussing on the sports field, but also on other areas as well. 

He underlined that the support for Al Bank programme which President of the High Organising Committee of Nasser 10 Tawfiq Al Salehi said took suitable measures following directives of Shaikh Nasser, stating that a link was already established with the programme officials to grant them the prizes.

The last round of the Group One stage of the Football Tournament features Suqoor Al Bahrain against Jurnas at 9pm, followed by Victorious and Majestic Cars at 1pmtonight.

The first two teams qualifying for the last eight round will be determined after achieving six points, Suqoor Al Bahrain are on the verge of sealing their qualification, but the second ticket will go to either Jurnas or defending champions Victorious. Both have four points from two matches. 

Tonight the final match of the Checkers Championship will be held at 10 pm tonight at the Muharraq Traditional Center. The Championship is part of Nasser 10 and will be held in cooperation with the Bahrain Mind Sports Association. This competition is the first mind sport within the series of games accompanying the tournament. The competition qualifiers, which were held at the headquarters of the Bahrain Mind Sports Association, began yesterday (Sunday). It was held using the knockout system after the participants were divided into four groups, each including three players. 

Also the final match of the Nasser 10's Basketball Championship will take place on Friday between the American Team and Filipino Team C. The match will be contested at the Bahrain Basketball Association Hall.
