‘Nabil’ new mascot of Futsal league

Manama : “Nabil” will be the new mascot of the Fifth Khalid Bin Hamad Futsal League for Youth Centres, People with Disabilities and Girls held from July 24 to August 23, under the slogan #meeting_of_generations.

The character painted by Bahraini artist Turki Rashid is based on the best player in the category of people with disabilities from the fourth edition of Khalid Bin Hamad Futsal League for Youth Centres, People with Disabilities 2016, as Nabil Al Dossari was chosen as the best player. The league will be held this year in the BDSF Hall.

This year’s edition will see the participation of 36 youth centres out of the 36 official centres representing different cities and villages of Bahrain, adding more success to the league after last year’s participation with 32 youth centres.

Organisers have set June 20, as the final day to receive the list of players from the participating teams, as Committee will provide uniforms for all participating teams, as well as alternative colour uniforms in case of similarity in colours.

The event is being held under the patronage of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association and Honourary President of the Bahrain Disabled Sports Federation (BDSF).

The league comes as part of the initiatives of Shaikh Khalid in supporting the youth in sports and humanitarian field, organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in cooperation with Media Office of Shaikh Khalid.
