Meat inspection campaign launched
Manama : In preparation for the forthcoming holy month of Ramadan, a team of specialists has launched a meat inspection campaign targeted Manama and Muharraq meat central markets to ensure its validity for human consumption and that it has been slaughtered in slaughterhouses authorized by law.
The campaign in the framework of coordination between the Health and Works, Municipalities and Affairs and Urban Planning ministries. It resulted in the seizure of all carcasses slaughtered illegally and not contain the seals approved.
The Health Ministry called on butchers to buy, sell livestock meat slaughtered in authorized slaughterhouses and carry seals approved, and that legal action will be taken against violators.
