BTTA votes for Shaikha Hayat in BOC election
Manama : The Bahrain Table Tennis Association (BTTA) members have announced that they will be voting for Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, the association president, in the upcoming Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) election.
The election, which will take place next month and is for the next three-year term as BTTA revealed its full support to Shaikha Hayat in maintaining her post as board member of the BOC.
Shaikha Hayat has been one of the 11 members of the present BOC board since 2012, and looks to stay in this position for another three-year term.
She is presently chairwoman of both the Bahrain Sport Committee and the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees, in addition to being a member of the International Olympic Committee’s Entourage Athletics Commission for two consecutive terms.
