Indian School bags UNESCO Award
Manama : The Indian School Bahrain (ISB) received the UNESCO Award 2017 for the ‘Best Academic Section implementing Education for Climate change and sustainable development’ by the Bahrain National Commission for UNESCO.
The school was awarded the first prize among the private schools category in Bahrain.
Vikram Rathod, a student of ISB, received the award for the best project for his project on ‘Climate change and sustainable development’.
The award was presented in a function attended by Education Minister Dr Majid Al Nuaimi and UNESCO Director General Irina Bokova.
Under Secretary for Educational Affairs and Curricula Dr Fawzi AbdulRahman Al Jowdhar, Secretary General of National Commission for UNESCO Bahrain Dr Lubna and officials from the Ministry of Education also attended the function.
