Salesman assaulted, shop robbed in Hamad Town
Manama : Police arrested three men on Sunday, a couple of hours after they robbed a mobile phones shop near Hamad Town and assaulted the salesman.
Northern Governorate Police General Director Colonel Abdulla Al Jairan confirmed in a statement that three people, suspected of robbing mobile phones worth BD7,000 from a shop in Suq Waqif area in Hamad Town, were arrested within two hours of the robbery.
“The suspects had also attacked the shopkeeper, who had to be taken to a hospital, and they damaged the shop,” Col. Al Jairan explained.
The official’s statements came shortly after a footage of the salesman soaking in his own blood were circulated online.
“The case was reported in the morning and an investigation led to the suspects, aged between 18 and 21.
Legal action is being taken to refer the case to the Public Prosecutor,” Col. Al Jairan added.
