Man arrested with 4kg of marijuana
Manama : An Asian man was arrested with over four kilogrammes of marijuana, authorities said in a statement yesterday.
Confirming the arrest, the Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science General Director Colonel Abddulaziz Al Rumaihi said that the confiscated substance was worth
BD8, 000.
Initial investigations indicate that the suspect was trying to sell the narcotic substances.
“Investigations were carried out based on the information we received. We arrested the suspect, and confiscated the narcotics from him,” Col. Al Rumaihi said.
He further said that the directorate is taking all necessary legal procedures to refer the case to the Public Prosecution.
