Farm in dock for selling expired milk
Manama : Authorities yesterday initiated legal actions against a farm in Maqaba area selling expired milk. Actions were taken following a tip-off received.
Investigators at the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation and Forensic Science found that the farm owners were buying expired or products nearing expiry dates and later sold them as fresh.
Police also seized expired milk packages delivered to a shop from the farm.
The incident has been notified to the Public Prosecution and concerned authorities, including Health Ministry and Commerce Ministry.
As per an order issued by the Public Prosecution, all the branches of the shop were shutdown.
