Mixed fortunes for Jai Karnataka
Manama : Jai Karnataka enjoyed a victory and then suffered a narrow loss in the latest Group B of The Indian Club Indian Expatriates Seven-a-Side Softball Cricket Tournament 2017 at its premises in Gudaibiya.
In their first match, Jai Karnataka defeated Maharashtra Mandal by four wickets after the latter managed 36 for four in six overs, then in reply reached the target in 5.2 overs after scoring 37 for two thanks to an unbeaten knock by Richard (24 not out).
In the second match, BMMI edged out Jai Maharashtra by one run after scoring 51 for five in six overs despite a hat-trick by Javed and Harprit’s knock of 27 not out leaving on 50 for two in its six overs as Harprit only managied to score a boundary four off the last ball rather than the required ‘maximum’.
Action takes a break and will resume on May 2 after the hosting of a number of Labour Day celebrations at the club.
