Mock plane crash drills to be held on Wednesday
Manama : Mock drills will be held at 8:30 am on Wednesday, the National Disaster Management Committee said. The drills follow directives from the Civil Defence Council to carry out national exercises and to implement the national disaster management plans concerning airplane accidents.
The drills, to be held in association with the concerned authorities of the Interior Ministry, other ministries and emergency service organisations, will take place in Hidd in the Muharraq Governorate and includes a mock plane crash in a residential area.
The committee calls upon the public to cooperate with the concerned authorities to ensure the success of the drills that aim to test the readiness and coordination capabilities in dealing with any accident and to ensure that general safety rules are being followed during cases that require the cooperation of various organisations.
