Brave aims big

MumbaiTurning BRAVE into one of the top championships around the globe is the main goal of the Bahrain Martial Arts Federation (BMMAF), said His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, yesterday

Shaikh Khalid, the First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth, Honourary President of BMMAF, and founder of the Khalid Bin Hamad Mixed Martial Arts (KHK MMA) was receiving top personalities in the field of business, sports in India at the Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai, India.

Shaikh Khalid is in India to take part in the fifth edition of the BRAVE championship, which is also the third held on a global basis.

“Today we are in India, to follow up and watch the march of the fifth edition championship and the third held all around the world. We look forward to achieving the main goal of turning BRAVE into the number one championship at the level of this sport,” he said. 

Thanking His Highness Shaikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his effort in making BRAVE a huge success, Shaikh Khalid said:  “We presented the BRAVE Combat Federation Championship project, and succeeded in making the project see the light and become a reality, thanks to the support of the wise leadership and HH Shaikh Nasser, the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport Chairman, Bahrain Olympic Committee President and Royal Charity Organisation Chairman .”

“This support has enabled the championship to place its mark successfully since its launch in Bahrain last September, and it achieved the goals that we set to attract MMA stars and professionals from around the world,” he added.

Earlier, on his arrival, His Highness was received by Issa Al Thawadi, Consul General of Bahrain in the City of Mumbai, Farhat Jamal, Vice President of Taj Mahal Group, Talgender Singh, General Manager of the Taj Mahal Group and Dharmi Majdani, Regional Director of Indian Economic Development Board.

Shaikh Khalid conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to India and its leadership and said that Bahrain’s relations with India are important.
