Manama : Papillon and defending champions Smasher both enjoyed double success victories prior to the weekend in the latest round-robin matches of The Indian Club Indian Expatriates Seven-a-Side Softball Cricket Tournament 2017 prior to the weekend at its premises in Gudaibiya.
On Wednesday night, the competition’s first hat-trick came from Sameer (three for three) as he helped Maharashtra bowl out Kansara for just 18 on the way to a six-wicket victory.
The Thursday night action saw the crowd treated to a fine unbeaten knock of 28 from Faizal as Spartans posted 69 for two to beat The One by 34 runs, with two tight finishes with Riffa Cricket Club beating Think Food in a super-over and Smashers edging past Telli Kings on the final ball.
