Congratulations pour in for PM

Manama : Words of praise and congratulations poured in for the Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, who become the first Arab leader to be awarded the Development Pioneering Work Shield yesterday. 

People from all walks of life and different ends of official spectrum lauded the achievement and wished the Premier all success in serving the nation and championing the Arab and Islamic causes. 

The award, on behalf of HRH the Premier, was received from the Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheet by Deputy Premier HH Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa. 

“The honour is a reflection of HRH the Premier’s distinguished status at the local, regional and international level as well as a tribute for his outstanding role in supporting pan-Arab work and development projects,” said Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa in a cable to the Prime Minister. He wished the Premier abundant health to continue serving the nation and people.

Speaker Ahmed Al Mulla took pride in the Arab award given to HRH the Premier by stressing that the honour reflects Prince Khalifa’s contributions to the joint Arab action. 

Saudi Ambassador to Bahrain Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmalik Al Shaikh, Sudanese Ambassador to Bahrain Abdulrahman Khalil Afendi, United Arab Emirates Ambassador to Bahrain, Abdulridha Abdullah Al Khori, Chairman of Bahrain Fine Arts Society, Shaikh Rashid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Fawzi Ahmed Kanoo Deputy Chairman of the Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo company also congratulated HRH the Premier.

In his message, HH Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister’s Advisor, described the honour as a reflection of HRH the Premier’s distinguished status as well as a tribute for his outstanding role in promoting sustainable development.
