Arad School vicinity a breeding ground for snakes and rodents
Manama : The area surrounding Arad Elementary Boys’ School in Muharraq Governorate is a breeding ground for snakes, rodents and other reptiles. Recently, a snake was found inside the school campus creating panic among children and their parents. The area is filled with filth and garbage, making it a haven for all sorts of creatures.
A special team from the Education Ministry visited the school yesterday to inspect the safety of its environment following complaints from teachers and parents.“The team found that the source of some rodents and reptiles that enter the school comes from its vicinity,” a statement issued by the Public Relations and Information Directorate said, quoting Ministry officials.
The Public Relations and Information Directorate also confirmed that the Education Ministry is coordinating with the concerned authorities to take the necessary action in the matter, including a thorough cleaning of the area surrounding the school.
