Exchange House robbery: Suspect held, cash seized
Manama : A man was arrested yesterday in connection with the exchange house robbery that occurred in Riffa last week, and the entire amount robbed was confiscated by the police.
Southern Governorate Police Director General Colonel Mubarak Abdulla Al Merri confirmed this in a statement published by the Police Media Centre yesterday.
“A man, 28, suspected to be involved in a money exchange company robbery on April 4 in East Riffa is arrested,” the Colonel said.
“Shortly after the case was reported, the investigators rushed to the scene to collect evidence. The suspect was identified and arrested, while the amount was confiscated. Legal proceedings are being taken to refer the case to the Public Prosecution,” he explained.
DT News reported last Thursday that Bahrain Financing Company East Riffa Branch was robbed by an armed man in broad day light. Police had started investigations following the robbery.
