Indian School Bahrain parents can now pay fees through BFC

ManamaThe Indian School fees can be paid online now through Bahrain Financing Company’s smart money initiative.

The school’s new academic year recently introduced multiple changes to their infrastructure and latest facilities include an online fee payment option through the BFC website.

“The parents have positively welcomed the change as they no longer have to make regular trips to the school to ensure that their ward’s fee has been paid on time. They can make flexible payments from their homes or workplace due to our tie up with BFC’s new initiative,” said Saji Antony, member of Information Technology to the school’s Executive Committee.

In order to make the fee payments, parents need to be registered on the BFC website, log in with their username and password and enter the child’s details along with the amount being transferred.

“The school had initially planned on a credit or debit card system. However, we realized that the interest charges may put unreasonable costs on the parents or the school finances. But, BFC’s initiative seems perfect for our vision of a digitalized campus,” Antony added.

BFC’s per transaction fee is 300 fils which is more convenient than a 2.5 per  cent interest rate which would have been charged on a credit or debit card service.

The school management has also rolled out a new parent portal through which parents will have anytime access to their child’s report cards, health and vaccination details, disciplinary matters and the ability to send direct messages to the class teacher.

“Such changes not only help us stay at par with educational digitalization, they build a stronger parent-teacher relationship, ensuring parents are more aware of their ward’s performance and can contribute to it effectively,” said Prince S Natrajan, Chairman of Indian School Bahrain.
