Brave 3 a huge success

Manama : HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Honourary President of the Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation, Founder of Khalid Al Khalifa Mixed Martial Arts Organisation (KHK MMA), expressed his joy at the outstanding success of the third edition of Brave Combat Federation Championship, organised by BRAVE Combat Federation in cooperation with the Brazil Mixed Martial Arts Federation, in Curitiba, Brazil.

He said the success strengthened the Kingdom’s presence on the international arena thanks to the unlimited support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa which comes after BRAVE was launched last September in Bahrain.

Shaikh Khalid said: “BRAVE Championship is able to exist with vigor on the world stage, thanks to outstanding organisation for the international championships and the wide participation of MMA stars. It managed to achieve many of the goals and aspirations that we have set since its launch, enhancing the prestige of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the international sports arena, especially in this sport, and contributes to make it a leading centre for the sport in the region.”

BRAVE will continue to spread the championships across various countries of the world and the next one is in the United Arab Emirates capital, Abu Dhabi on March 31. BRAVE 3, which carried the slogan #Brazil_Fight, combined strength with humanity through the initiative launched by Shaikh Khalid_Humanitarian, allocated the championship’s proceeds to help the Brazilian child Arthur, who lives with his parents in Curitiba and suffers from a rare spinal muscular atrophy
disease.

The initiative of Shaikh Khalid had great impact on the hearts of those present as well as the local residents, who reacted with warm applause after the final announcement of the conclusion of the championship by providing assistance to this child.

More than 800 million around the world had access to the event which was televised through several prominent sports channels and broadcast through social media channels and online streaming.

It was also announced by Mohammed Shahid, CEO of Khalid bin Hamad Mixed Martial Arts Organisation (KHK MMA) that after the Abu Dhabi event. the fifth would be held in India.
