Cabinet lauds Prince Salman’s UAE visit

Manama : The recent visit of Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will enhance relations between the two countries and promote unity among member nations of GCC, said Prime Minister, HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.

The Prime Minister made the statement while chairing the regular weekly Cabinet session attended by the Crown Prince at Gudaibiya Palace yesterday.

The Prime Minister lauded the positive outcomes of the Crown Prince Salman’s talks with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

In a statement, Cabinet Secretary-General, Dr Yasser bin Isa Al-Nasser said that the session lauded the solid fraternal Bahraini-UAE relations. The Premier congratulated the King of Saudi Arabia, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on the success of his recent Asian tour and stated that the results of the visit will be positive for the GCC member nations.

“The success of King Salman’s visits is a success for all of us,” the Premier said.

In a separate statement, the Prime Minister lauded the launch of the ‘Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa’s Global Award for Women Empowerment’, noting that the move reflects Bahrain’s success in empowering women.

The session approved a proposal submitted by the Council of Representatives to launch an award for creativity and quality of government action.
