Dance music icon Steve Aoki lined up for Bahrain Grand Prix

Manama : Even as the countdown to the biggest sporting and entertainment showcase in the region has begun, Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) has announced the addition of Grammy-nominated electronic dance superstar Steve Aoki to its concert line-up for the 2017 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.
Aoki is a superstar who had teamed up with other major artists such as Linkin Park, will.i.am, Afrojack, LMFAO, Iggy Azalea and Lil Jon, among others and ranked Best DJ in America by DJ Times in 2015.
He still continues to rock the airwaves with his hugely popular tracks. The American is one of the headliners at this year’s Formula 1 extravaganza, taking place at BIC from April 14 to 16. He will be performing live on the Saturday (April 15) night of the race weekend, which will be part of the Bahrain Grand Prix After-Party at BIC.
Aoki is already a stellar cast of internationally renowned line-up who are part of the entertainment programme of the Bahrain Grand Prix.
Three other globally renowned DJs will be performing on the Friday night(April 14), which will be a spectacular event in electronic dance music.
Getting the crowd grooving to the tunes will be superstar DJs Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike and MATTN.
Further announcements from BIC will be made on performing artistes at this year’s Formula 1 weekend, including the biggest act of the stellar line-up.
All those with tickets to the Bahrain Grand Prix will be able to enjoy the spectacular live shows.
Aoki is renowned for his inspiring travel schedule, averaging more than 250 tour dates per year including headliner slots at summer music festivals throughout the world at mega-clubs in Las Vegas and Ibiza.
As a recording artist, Aoki’s 2014 studio album ‘Neon Future I’, which soared to number one on the Dance/Electronic Album chart, features the Gold-certified single “Delirious (Boneless)” with Chris Lake and Tujamo featuring Kid Ink.
Aoki’s DIY work has propelled him as an entrepreneur and performer, placing him in the top five on Forbes’ Top DJ Money Earner list for three years, and winning the respect of his DJ peers who favour him with terms as “force of nature” and “machine”.
