Terrorist explosion damages school wall
Manama : A ‘terrorist explosion’ has damaged a public school in Manama, the authorities announced.
Education Ministry said in a statement that “an unidentified object that was placed by terrorists near Al Naeem Secondary Boys’ School has exploded on Thursday evening and damaged the walls of the school”.
The ministry confirmed that students were attending evening classes inside the school when the explosion occurred, posing risk to their lives.
“The concerned security authorities were informed about the incident,” the ministry said clarifying that there were 523 terrorist attacks targeting public schools recently..
Public Relations and Information Directorate condemned the attack, describing it “shameful” and which contradicts with the teachings of Islam and all international and humanitarian norms.
