Russia condemns terror attack

Manama : The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation has condemned the terror attack in Bahrain in which five policemen were injured on February 26. 

“We strongly condemn this and similar criminal attacks, which cannot be justified,” a statement said while wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.

“We are calling on all political forces in Bahrain to prioritise issues on the national agenda and to work towards the resolution of the existing conflicts exclusively through dialogue, without using radical and illegal methods. We are certain that the Bahraini people, like the people of other countries in the region, are capable of ensuring the confident, ongoing development of their country, based on national consensus,” a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation read.

Arab League extends support 

The Arab League also condemned the terror blast which targeted the police bus in Bahrain. 

Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit reiterated the Arab League’s support to Bahrain in all measures taken to confront the terrorist acts and maintain its security and stability, stressing rejection of all forms of terrorism.
