Bahrain Crown Prince arrives in Kuwait for official visit

Manama: His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today arrived in the state of Kuwait for an official visit focussed on advancing bilateral ties between the two nations. 

During the visit His Royal Highness the Crown Prince will conduct talks with the Amir of Kuwait, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and His Highness Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
Upon arrival, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, accompanied by Representative of His Majesty the King Hamad for Charity and Youth Affairs, President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and a number of Bahraini senior ministers and officials, was received by His Highness the Crown Prince of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Kuwait’s National Assembly Speaker, His Excellency Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim, Prime Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, His Excellency Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Sheikh Mohammed Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid Al-Jarah Al-Sabah, Bahrain’s Ambassador to the State of Kuwait, His Excellency Shaikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and a number of senior Kuwaiti officers.

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince made the following statement:

I am delighted to once again be visiting the state of Kuwait, a country which holds a special status for myself and all Bahrainis as a longstanding partner to the Kingdom. This special relationship is underpinned by the continuous advancement of cooperative ties across many areas and sectors, and both countries remain committed to building on and expanding these relations in order to achieve our shared strategic goals.This visit represents a positive opportunity to convey His Majesty King Hamad’s best wishes to the Amir of Kuwait, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, for Kuwait’s continued success under his leadership, and to meet both the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister of Kuwait.I am honoured that this visit takes place in conjunction with Kuwait’s National Day celebrations, and I wish to extend my sincere wishes to the leadership and citizens of Kuwait on this special occasion, which we consider one of our own.

The growth of bilateral ties and partnerships between Bahrain and Kuwait has played a crucial role in achieving our shared objectives, both for our own countries and for the wider region. Kuwait continues to be a vital partner to the Kingdom of Bahrain in trade, economic and security terms, and this relationship will only be strengthened in the years to come.
