GPIC takes part in Garden Show

Manama : The Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) is taking part in the 12th edition of the Bahrain International Garden Show, being held at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.

The participation comes as part of GPIC’s support of environmental programmes and creation of green areas, while encouraging investment in the agricultural sector to reduce the food gap and achieve food security.

The focus of the show this year is on unifying national efforts to support economic and social objectives and develop the agricultural sector in accordance with principles based on social justice, competitiveness and protecting biodiversity.

Wife of His Majesty the King & Supreme Council for Women Chairwoman HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa visited GPIC stand during the opening ceremony and was received by company President Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery along with management members, who conveyed to her the greetings of the Chairman and the Board of Directors. 

Princess Sabeeka commended the company’s efforts in taking care of the environment and supporting the agricultural sector while winning several local, regional and international awards. 

“The company is proud of its cooperation with all the green initiatives launched by Her Royal Highness, which comes within the framework of an ambitious vision and her desire to develop green spaces and create an awareness of the importance of the agricultural sector,” Dr. Jawahery said.

“GPIC exhibits its products for the public and informs them of the methods of use of fertilizers, including urea produced by the company, which is exported to the world’s largest markets. Samples of the product are also distributed along with awareness and educational pamphlets,” he added.

 The event, which runs until Sunday, is organised under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
