Lanes win Monday madness

ManamaHusband and wife Rob and Debbie Lane (33.375 nett) clinched first place in the penultimate competition of the Coca-Cola Monday Madness Night Golf Series at the Royal Golf Club, followed in second by Dave Fernie and Adam Wells (34.125) with third place going to Naeem Khan and Rajinder Sachdeva (35.375).

Nearest the pin side contests on holes 12 and 16 were won by Abdulla Al Kaabi and Steven Hill respectively.

Around 20 players took part in the Texas Scramble competition and Coca-Cola branded flags and banners were displayed around the Club’s Montgomerie championship golf course for the duration of the competition.

The evening was rounded off with a prize presentation ceremony in the Club’s Members’ Lounge where Adam Dutson, the Royal Golf Club’s Tournament Coordinator, was on hand to present the prizes on behalf of Coca-Cola.

With just one competition left to play in the six week-long series, round four winners Naeem Khan and Rajinder Sachdeva (15 points) continue to hold first place on the leader board with 15 points, followed by youngsters Ali Al Hakam and Ali Al Kowari (11) in second place, while the pairing of Rehman Tipu and Atta Ur Rehman (9) are third.

The series every Monday is over nine holes and open to non-members and tees off with a shotgun start at 6.30pm.
